Seen, Known, Loved

Drawn from Isaiah 43, scripture reveals an intensely passionate image of God’s love for his people. This session will invite us into a deeper encounter with a God who intimately sees, knows, and loves us.

10:20 am: Break

10:45 am: Session Two

Rooted In The Storm (adult focus)

“Steadfast, peaceful, persevering, dare I say joy-filled,'' different seasons of life offer various trials; who wouldn’t desire the above description to be their response in those times. Through an examination of our own hearts and the truths of our faith, this session will invite us to become more deeply rooted in the truth about who God is and how we can trust him with our suffering.

Rooting Your Identity In Truth (high school focus)

We have all faced conflicting and confusing messages about our female identity. It’s easy to be swayed by popular opinion, friends, or loud messaging. Scripture and church teaching, however, provides an incredibly beautiful perspective on our femininity; there are  tools to help us  remain rooted in these truths even when challenged.

SATURDAY AFTERNOON

12:15 pm: Mass

1:15 pm: Lunch (Confession available)

2:30 pm: Session Three

Called To Love

Every woman is a gift, uniquely seen, known and called to love. Loving God and our neighbor should not feel like a burden or a checklist, but rather a response to the love that has been poured out for us. In fact, loving others can lead to deeper healing and transformation for ourselves.

3: Charisms:Jewels That Adorn The Bride of Christ

Jim Anderson

Charisms are God-given gifts for service, mission, and the building up the Kingdom of God in this world, and as such they are a sure aid to missionary discipleship. The exercise of the charisms brings glory to God, as his people are filled with the grace and joy of the Holy Spirit. Thus the charisms are like jewels that adorn the Bride of Christ, sparkling with the light of God’s life and love.

4: Accompanying Women Post Abortion

Anne-Marie Hughes

Would you know her if you saw her? An estimated 1 in 3 Canadian Women will have an abortion during her lifetime. While abortion is often considered an issue that exists outside our church walls, men and women suffer silently among us believing their shame is too much for the mercy of God or our church. How can we approach this justice issue with the grace and mercy that brings healing for mothers and fathers while remembering the child? Abortion healing is reconciling families.

This session will include testimonials from women who have accompanied women in their healing journey.

Arise Catholic Movement thanks Saskatchewan locals Paul & Rebecca Hilton of Primerica for their support.

In 1977, Primerica was founded on a simple idea: Just do what's right. That concept remains at the heart of everything we do for Main Street families every day.

Through our HOW MONEY WORKS materials, we teach people the basics of personal finance because we believe a solid foundation is the key to making healthy money choices. We pioneered the "Buy Term and Invest the Difference" philosophy - a crusade which revolutionized the life insurance industry and the investment business. And from the beginning, we have only offered term life insurance as part of our commitment to only market products that are right for the consumer, a philosophy we still apply to our solutions today.

Arise Catholic Movement thanks Saskatchewan local

Providence Farms for their support by covering the

catering cost of a meal during the retreat.

Hello, our names are Yves and Brigitte Thibault along with our daughter Chloe, and we are the proud owners of Providence Farms. The farm is located east of Saskatoon off highway 5. We have grown in knowledge about regenerative farming and decided with the 10 acres that we own we would raise hogs. The old farm yard we bought was completely reclaimed by nature. The challenge with having an overgrown yard is the clean up, so we decided to purchase our first group of hogs to aid us in bringing back this farm. The farm practice we used to do so is known as rotational grazing. We were amazed at the work they did, and realized when given the opportunity hogs do great work. Having learned this we decided to enter into the adventure of not just raising them but taking on the challege of breading them as well. The hogs we raise are primarily purebred Berkshire hogs.

ENCOUNTER

Jesus is not limited by our circumstances and He desires, always, at all times, to meet us where we are at. Through powerful and engaging talks, small group discussion, praise & worship, and opportunities for prayer we will encounter Jesus if our hearts remain open to what He has in store for each of us.

COMMUNITY

This year we are finally able to gather together in person. Having been through the last couple years it is time to once again experience the kind of community that we are called to. The type of community that encourages each of us to continue to grow, to pray, to share and support one another with a few laughs along the way. We cannot wait to hear a room full of female voices singing praise in unison once again!

BEAUTY

Beauty is one of the ways that we encounter the heart of Jesus. Be prepared to be immersed in a weekend filled with beauty. Your eyes, ears, mind and heart will experience a variety of treasures you will never forget.
