Bio to come

ANNE WILLIAMS

Anne Williams is a Registered Social Worker and Certified Trauma Practitioner in Private Counseling Ministry in Saskatoon, SK. Ministering from a Christian perspective allows for the healing of the whole person – psychological, emotional, social, physiological and spiritual. She has served in the church in various capacities in adult faith formation and healing for 30+ years. Previously she has written for the Word Among Us, worked for Catholic Christian Outreach, sat on the Board of Directors for Face2Face Ministries and ministered on Rachel’s Vineyard Retreats. She is presently involved in the Diocese with the Covenant of Care team and Called and Gifted Process.

Anne-Marie Hughes

Anne-Marie Hughes is Director of Outreach at the Saskatoon Pregnancy Options and Support Centre and on the Evangelization Team at St. John Bosco Parish. She found her leadership and public speaking voice facilitating mornings and serving on the board of Time Out for Moms Catholic Enrichment for Women and let the mission she was on go from there.
As her children became independent Anne-Marie found God calling her in many interesting directions including obtaining a Canadian Certificate in Youth Ministry, being a freelance writer for the Diocese of Saskatoon and Prairie Messenger, writing, producing and directing scripture based youth theater for Sacred Canopy in Vancouver and eventually coming back to Saskatoon and developing a desire to work “on the ground” in ministry. At a Pregnancy Care Centre she does crisis pregnancy advocacy, pregnancy education support, fundraising and public speaking.
During this work she started a peer support group for women recovering from abortion and did further training with Pregnancy Care Canada, Surrender the Secret Bible Study and Rachel’s Vineyard Retreats. Finding that this wound often involves both unique trauma and grief work she is developing more healing skills and advocating for deeper discussions of the issue in wider society and within our church walls.
