The Arise Women's Retreat was born from the fellowship of 13 women from the Saskatoon area who travelled to the Life Restoration Women's Retreat at Rockridge, British Columbia in April of 2018.
After a wonderful weekend growing closer to Jesus and delighting in fellowship with our sisters in Christ (and a private wine tour from the retreat centre!!) it was unanimous that we wanted to bring this opportunity to the women of Saskatchewan that we knew needed this experience as much as we had. From there we dreamt and delighted and the Holy Spirit led us to Bruno, Saskatchewan's Institute of Faith and Mission where we hosted our first ever retreat in October of 2019: “Arise my Beloved”.
It was such a beautiful experience for retreaters, as well as, our team of volunteers and as expected the Holy Spirit multiplied our greatest hopes and desires.
The collaboration and partnership with the many groups and individuals involved were essential for the success of the retreat and with the overwhelmingly positive response and the deep need we saw in the attendees, we began to plan a one day conference that would allow more women to attend.
COVID-19 threw a wrench in our plans, but brought clarity to the intense need for fellowship and so we forged ahead with the birth of our upcoming retreat scheduled to move ahead in 2021.
It is with that same initial gratitude, thanksgiving, and generosity of the gift that we shared and with our intentions to draw people deeper into their relationship with Jesus while developing a community with their sisters; that we continue to serve.
