Week Four
Shoes of Readiness to Proclaim the Gospel
WEEK FOUR JOURNAL/SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS
Journaling Time:
Take some time to think about the people that you know and love who do not know Jesus or do not know him well enough. Write down their names in your journal. Invite the Lord to show you his heart for each of them.
Is there one or two people, in particular, who the Lord may be inviting you to accompany in this season?
Small Group Questions:
How was your heart stirred by this session?
What holds you back from sharing your faith with others?
What do you think would help you feel ready to even put on the “shoes”?
What is the Father’s heart for the lost (those who do not know Jesus or do not know Him well enough)? Are there certain scriptures that come to mind for you that support your ideas?
Christy shared that when we engage in mission our hearts become conformed to the heart of the Father, how do you understand that statement? Have you experienced this in your own life? If so, how?
What are some practical ways that you would like to personally be ready to and intentionally seek opportunities to proclaim the gospel?

John 15:13-17 No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. I do not call you servants any longer because the servant does not know what the master is doing but I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from my Father. You did not choose me but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask him in my name. I am giving you these commands so that you may love one another.
