WEEK ONE
The Whole Armour of God
Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power. Put on the whole armour of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. With all of these, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

The Whole Armour of God
WEEK ONE JOURNAL/SMALL GROUP QUESTIONS
What stood out to you in Heather’s talk? How were you moved or challenged?
Heather spoke about how the lies of the enemy in the garden, in the creation story of Genesis, caused a rupture in the human relationship with God. Adam and Eve began to think differently about God and question their relationship: Can we trust him? Is He really good? Will He actually give to us all that He promised?
Do any of these questions strike a chord in your own relationship with God? In what ways do you struggle to trust Him?
As we journey through this pandemic and the many burdens of today, how have you found yourself leaning into God’s power and strength? Or, how have you found yourself relying on your own strength?
Can you recall a personal experience where God protected you or provided for you? Share that experience with the group.
What is one area in your life, right now, where you feel vulnerable to the attack of the enemy, where you feel that there is a battle going on?
**At the end of your discussion, take some time to pray for each other, especially for those areas where you each find yourself in a battle or under attack.
