SESSION KITS

Session One Kit.jpg

To help you prepare for your parish retreat we are providing you with the PDF material of each SESSION KIT. We recommend printing a copy of each Kit for every participant. Included in the kits are small group/journaling reflection questions, lyrics for session music, as well as scripture and resource references from each session. *We suggest handing out each session kit print out after the talk so participants aren’t given a sneak peak of the talk ahead of time. *

On our website each session will have it’s own page with a fuller session kit as well, links to reference material and resources as well as full scripture texts will be provided, as retreat participants have registered with your parish they will not be given access to the retreat pages. *AFTER THE RETREAT* you may wish to email the link to the retreat page with the password provided so that they may have access to the fuller session kits online.

Retreat Day Promotional Material

Thank you so much for your yes to bring the Arise: Put On the Armour of Light retreat to the women of your parish. Our team is so excited to work with you as you prepare to provide these women an opportunity to encounter Jesus in a deeper way and experience authentic Catholic community. It is our hope that each woman that attends will feel the same renewal of faith, lifting of spirits and joy that each of our team members have felt in planning this beautiful day.

While we are encouraging as many groups to participate in the retreat on May 1st, so that we may all join together, united in intercession for one another, the retreat is pre recorded. This allows you the flexibility to choose a day that works for you and your community.

In order to have a successful retreat day, the first step is to invite. While the best invitations are the personal asks to those you know, as well as parish announcements, we have provided you with a promotional package. Included are

·      3 options for downloadable pamphlets

·      2 different sized posters.

·      1 Social Media image

Bulletin/Social Media

You may post your Social Media image to your parish Bulletin, Website, Facebook and/or instagram page if you have. We recommend that in the caption make it clear that participants are to contact you for information and register through your parish. Ie: If you have been longing for community, some much needed light and a renewal in your faith life, our parish invites you to our Arise: Put On the Armour of Light retreat. If you are a woman 18 and over and would like more information on how you can register for this amazing event, please contact our parish at_______________.

We recommend multiple posts when advertising on social media., you are also welcome to share any of our posts from @arisecatholicmovement  The more posts, the more views. We will be highlighting our speakers leading up to May 1st.

Optional Gift Packages

You may want to have a gift package given at the beginning of the retreat, which may include a small package of kleenex, a bottle or water, extra pen, printed material for each group, mints, a candle and holder to be used at the end of the retreat.  We have sent out gift packages to retreatants who will be experiencing Arise in-home. Due to the scope of parish retreats, we are unable to send each registrant of your retreat these same gift packages. However, we will send some PDF options of those gifts to you, should you like to give them to your retreatants. We will also send a sample gift package to your parish, should you wish to assemble your own similar packages.

This retreat will be beautifully experienced with or without gifts, so you have flexibility with this. Again, do whatever will make the retreat beautiful for your women, within the capacity of your particular parish.

Access to the printed materials are below.

Our team used Vista Print. Designed as postcards, between shipping and receiving expect 4-7 days. For the Prayer card we recommend the premium, soft touch postcard.

Commitment Prayer

This was created directly from Heather’s Session Talk and provides a beautiful opportunity for you to pray this together as a group. (see schedule notes)

Daily Examen

the examen is a practice of reflective prayer. It invites us to find the movement of God in all the people and events of our day. Keep it at your bedside and use it to examine your day.

Scripture Card

This is a beautiful memento of the prophetic scripture verse that inspired this retreat! Frame it and place it in your home so you can reflect on the retreat and what the Lord spoke to your heart.

St. Joan of Arc/Warrior Prayer

St. Joan of Arc is our patron  Saint for this retreat. She has journeyed with us through all of the planning and we know you will love this beautiful painting Sariana Kirk created to commemorate her intercession for you all. On the backside is a Warrior Prayer written by Chris Gaudet for our retreat

Myrrh

The sword and shield pendants are to be another reminder for the truth that the Lord has spoken to you in your retreat. These symbols will have even more meaning as you journey through the Armoured Series where we will unpack how each of us are invited to put on the whole armour of God. Myrrh, a traditional healing agent and gift to Jesus in infancy, can be burned or set out to help us offer our prayers for healing up to Jesus.

Arise Retreat Logo

Inspired by the light in the darkness theme of the Arise retreat this logo can easily be used as a sticker, decal, or any other gift you wish to present to retreat participants. An easy way to be reminded of the beautiful experience they received. Simply upload the PNG image to any printing business ie: Vista Print.

Q: I’m registered, how long do I have access to the retreat and Armoured Series?

A: If you have registered as an individual or hostess you have access for a full year!

If you have purchased the parish package you have unlimited access!

Q: I registered but have not received an email with my access link and password.

A: Your links and passwords for instant access to the retreat and Armoured series was included in your EVENTBRITE confirmation email. Be sure to check all of your email folders ie: Promotions, junk, spam folders. If you have registered and have not received or cannot find your EVENTBRITE confirmation email with the retreat and series access links and passwords within a couple days. Please email us at arisecatholicmovement@gmail.com

Q: I registered but the password doesn’t seem to work.

A: There are a few reasons you are not being granted access. Please try the following:

  1. Be sure you are using the correct password for the correct page as they are different for the Retreat and the Armoured Series.

  2. If you are copying and pasting the password be sure that there are no spaces highlighted.

  3. Try pressing enter instead of the arrow.

If you have attempted all three and it still does not work email us at arisecatholicmovement@gmail.com

Q: I really enjoyed the retreat, can I share the links with my friends and family?

A: We are so grateful to hear how much you have enjoyed your retreat experience. We have a SPECIAL OFFER just for you! If you would like to host a small group of your own we would love to provide you with all the hostess material you need for FREE! The material will be found on our hostess access page. On the retreat page you will find a link to a form. Once filled out you will immediately be given a link and password to access the hostess page. Please be sure the women you invite register with us as an individual/participant and include your name as hostess. Filling out the form does not obligate you to be a hostess, we just hope that with the information provided it will help you make the decision. We kindly ask that you do not share access with those that have not registered. This retreat was created and produced by volunteers and is paid for by generous sponsorship as well as registrations.

Q: Why do the women in my small group need to register as a participant?

A: Our goal from the very beginning has been to share this retreat with as many women as possible, and we know that only happens because of women like you who so generously give of their time as a hostess. A retreat, as well as a six part video series, of this quality and the scope of reach across the globe comes at a financial cost. We are a group of volunteers that have poured over, as well as prayed over, this project and have done our best to offer both the retreat and series at the lowest price possible. It is only through generous sponsorship and registrations that we are able to cover these costs. Any extra made will go towards future Arise events. We thank you again for joining us in our mission to help others Encounter Jesus Together and Foster Authentic Catholic Community.

Q: Is this only a retreat for groups or can I do it on my own?

A: While the retreat was designed with small groups in mind and has components that are more geared towards a group setting, you can certainly receive many gifts and blessing through journeying through it on your own. We certainly have no idea what God has in store for us until we say yes and enter in to where we are being called. We hope that if you do take this retreat in on your own that God may speak into your heart and bless you in the ways that you need, especially during this time of isolation.

Q: Do I need to do the retreat in just one day?

A: We recommend carving out time and space to enjoy the full day experience; however, we get that life is busy. We also get that you may need some extra time to process. So as an individual participant you are certainly able to design your retreat experience in whatever way suites your needs. All sessions are pre-recorded so that you can play and pause when need be or take in a session a day if you like.

As a small group or parish group we have offered a few schedule options in your Hostess and Parish access pages that outline one day and multiple day retreats.

Q: Do we have to meet in person?

A: While meeting in person would provide a more enhanced experience we also understand restrictions are real and make it impossible in some areas to meet. If you don’t want to wait for restrictions to open up you can definitely meet virtually with a small group to journey through together. We even offer material such as a virtual hostess guide and optional virtual schedules so that you can make the most out of your experience.

The best part of hosting a Virtual Retreat is that you don’t even have to be in the same country to experience the Arise retreat together!

Q: I registered as a participant but would like to be a hostess instead, can I?

A: If you have already registered and would like to host a small group of other registered participants you can email arisecatholicmovement@gmail.com and we can switch your ticket for you, allowing access to the hostess page.
